Obituary of Garland Campbell

Garland Brenton "Brent" Campbell, 39, of Raleigh, passed away Thursday, September 26, 2013.

Brent was born April 10, 1974, the son of Garland Chambers and the late Sarah Geraldine Campbell. He was a 1996 graduate of the University of North Carolina - Pembroke where he was an All American wrestler and was a proud member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. Brent was a Social Worker with Lutheran Family Services where he touched countless lives. Brent was a devoted family man, an avid golfer and fisherman.

Brent is survived by his wife, Nicole D. Campbell; sons, Joshua Campbell and Sean Campbell; brother, Christopher Chambers; father, Garland Chambers and his very special grandmother, Mary Campbell.

A visitation will be held from 5 - 8 p.m. Thursday at Montlawn Funeral Home with a Wake service at 6 p.m.

Also, a visitation will be held from 2 - 3 p.m. Friday with a Funeral Service at 3 p.m. at St. John's Missionary Baptist Church, 194 St. John's Church Road, Lake Lure, NC 28746. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
