September 25, 1943 – February 27, 2025
Gayle Upchurch Fuller, 81, passed away Thursday evening surrounded by her family. She was a Raleigh native born to Annie Belle Murray and Gorman Upchurch.
Gayle retired from Fonville Morisey after 37 years of service. She graduated from Needham Broughton High School in 1961 and attended Peace College.
Gayle was a woman of strength, a fighter and a cherished friend to many. She loved her family and was a dedicated wife and caregiver to her husband for many years. She loved to spend time with her family and adored her grandchildren. Her presence will be deeply missed but she will live on in those she loved.
She is survived by her daughter Lorie Ingram and husband Brian; her son Scott Fuller; and her grandchildren, Carson, Lauren, and Alex Ingram; Kylie and Olivia Fuller.
Visitation for family and friends will be held at Montlawn Funeral Home on Friday, March 7th at 12pm with service to follow.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and others at UNC Rex Cancer Center of Wakefield who provided her with great care and compassion over the past 2 ½ years.
