Obituary of Gayle Morgan

Virginia Gayle Morgan, 70, of Raleigh, passed away Wednesday afternoon, January 22, 2014 at WakeMed Raleigh Hospital.

A Service to Celebrate her Life will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Montlawn Funeral Home. A Private Inurnment will held in Montlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service Sunday.

A native of Alamance County, Gayle was born May 26, 1943. She was retired from Caraleigh Mills, was a member of Vandora Springs FWB Church in Garner and was a devoted fan of Elvis Presley.

Gayle is survived by her sons, Jimmy Mack Strother, Jr. of Raleigh; Marty Strother (Kim) of Denton; daughter, Tracy Strother of Kentucky; her parents, Bill and Nora Taylor of Raleigh; sister, Linda S. Hall (Ron) of Raleigh as well as six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Gayle was preceded in death by her son, Billy Prevette and her father, Charlie James Bass.
