Obituary of Gaynelle Brannan

Gaynelle Tudor Brannan, 90, died Tuesday. Born in Johnston County on July 7, 1921, she was the daughter of the late John Madison Tudor, Sr. and Cora Spence Tudor. She was the wife of the late W. G. (Bill) Brannan and was preceded in death by her brothers, John M. Tudor, Jr. and Gerald Tudor and two sisters, Jessie T. Walters and Dorothy Pritchford Holtz and a great grandson Brannan Williamson.

She is survived by her daughter, Billie B. Rose and husband Donald, Jr. of Wake Forest; her son, John W. Brannan and wife Suzanne; sister, Virginia T. Parker and husband Joseph of Angier; two granddaughters, Amy R. Emory and husband Steven of Harlem, GA and Nicole R. Williamson and husband Lee of Clayton; six grandchildren, Robert, Tyler and Seth Emory, Adam, Joel and Cora Williamson; several special nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held 1 pm Friday at Montlawn Memorial Park with Rev. Jonathan Sherrod officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church. 301 E. Whitaker Mill Road, Raleigh, NC 27608 or to Hospice of Wake County, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607.
