Obituary of George Coggins
George Francis Coggins III, 60, passed away Tuesday morning, July 16, 2013 at his home.
Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Freedom Biker Church, 275 Bowling Spring Dr., Angier, NC 27501. Burial will be in Montlawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at Montlawn Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. Friday.
George was born March 14, 1953 in Lowell, MA, the son of George F. Coggins, Jr. and Peggy Cox Coggins who survive him. He was a plant manager for Natvar with 35 years of service until his declining health forced him to retire. George was an avid N.C. State Wolfpack and Boston Red Sox fan; enjoyed gardening and was an accomplished handyman and took great pleasure in repairing most anything for his family and friends. After his diagnosis three years ago, he traveled to many churches sharing his Christian testimony.
George is survived by his wife, Deborah Smith Coggins; daughter, Amy C. Love and her husband George of Youngsville; sons, Shane Coggins of Raleigh, Brandon Coggins and his fiance Kimberly Wall of Kenly; sister, Paula Anhorn and her husband Rommel of Garner; nephews, Damien and Michael of Raleigh; sister in-law Denise Coggins and his niece Taylor, both of Raleigh and his grandchildren, Kaylee, Kamryn, Jaylen and Dylan. George was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Keith Coggins.
