George Douglas was born on March 28th, 1930 in Detroit Michigan. He met
the love of his life Leona Douglas and they married on February 24th, 1951. They
had 3 children Thomas Douglas (Sharon), Cindy Paddon (Rob), and Roxanne
Tripp. He was a grandfather to Heather Morton, Holly Charles, Derek Douglas
(Dana), Brianna Paddon (Dylan), Trent Paddon, Zane Paddon, Tyler Tripp, Lexi
Tripp, and Ella Ray. He was a great-grandfather to Mallory Morton, Madelyn
Morton, Kaya Charles, Sebastian Charles, and Max Douglas.
George loved to read and was very knowledgeable in many subjects. He
never met a stranger was always interested in their lives. He was a help to many on
multiple projects. His relationship with God started at a young age and he lived a
humble submitted life.
George began his working life as a mechanic, was drafted into the marine
corp, worked as a plasterer, and salesm

an for Fasteners for many years. He lived on
Alma Convention Ground from 1969 through 1995. They then retired to North
Carolina.
He enjoyed playing the piano, traveling, and people. He had a great love and
respect for God. His legacy and touch will live through the countless lives he
touched. He will be missed.
