Obituary of George Gray

George Harold Gray, Jr., 72, died Sunday, February 3, 2013 at his residence after a lengthy illness. He loved working, eating, attending church and spending time with his family. A funeral service will be held at 2 pm Thursday, February 7, 2013 at The Temple of Pentecost, 2312 Lake Wheeler Road, Raleigh. Entombment will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. Surviving are his daughter, Amanda Watson and husband Melvin, sons, Jeff Gray and wife Cathy and Brandon Gray and wife Katie; three granchildren, Ashley Gray Dunn, Andrew and Samantha Watson; brother, Billy Gray and wife Brenda, sisters, Myrtle Gray Hardee, Linda Gray, Carol Harmon, Patsy Gray and Mary Carter and husband Walter Lee Carter. He was preceded in death by his parents, George H. and Texie Gray and his brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Pat Gray. The family will receive friends at Montlawn Funeral Home from 5-7 pm Wednesday, February 6, 2013.
