Obituary of George Wahl
George Andrew Wahl, 89, of Raleigh, formerly of Spring Hill, Florida, passed away Thursday morning, August 23, 2012 Rex Hospital.
A Funeral Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 1, 2012 at Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 - 8 p.m. Friday, August 31, 2012.
Born March 9, 1923 in New York City, NY, George was the son of the late Carl Albert Wahl and Louise Mildred Zavrel Wahl. He served his country in World War II, with the United States Navy. George was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
George is survived by his loving wife of 64 wonderful years, Georgette Thacker Wahl; two daughters; 4 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
