Georgia Cornelia Coates Williams passed away peacefully at Transitions LifeCare in Raleigh on October 31, 2018. Georgia was born April 10, 1927 to the late David Edgar Coates and Fannie Kelly Coates. She was preceded in death by her siblings Flossie C. Stephenson, Alice C. Stephenson, Alllene C Stephenson, Eloise C. Ennis McAllister, Zula C. Ennis, David Edgar Coates Jr. and Maxine C. Stephenson.

She is survived by her son Eugene Ward Williams, Jr. of Raleigh, son David Anthony Williams and wife Melissa of Clayton. Grandson David Anthony Williams Jr., of Clayton. Sister Shirley Grissom and husband Marshall of Raleigh. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Georgia was a charter member of White Memorial Presbyterian Church of Willow Springs and later became a member of Emanuel Baptist Church of Raleigh. She loved the Lord, her family and her friends. If you were her friend, then you were her family. She was very proud of all her family.

The family will receive friends Sunday November 4, 2018 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM at Montlawn Funeral Home. A service will follow at 2:00 in the Chapel at Montlawn Funeral Home.
