Glendora Denning Woodard of Angier, N.C. went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 6, 2019.  She was born July 1, 1932 in Raleigh, NC. Glendora was married to William Thomas Woodard Sr. (Bill) June 30, 1951.  Glendora was loved by many, but the love of her life was "her sweet Thing" Bill. As the end grew near Bill spent many long hours by her bedside holding her hand and loving her. Through many prayers and tears, Bill never gave up hope, however, as hard as it was Bill felt her hand slip from his to grab hold of her Lord and Savior.

She was a homemaker and worked side by side with her husband on their family farm. She was a dedicated member to the Garner Church of God for more than 50 years.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years William Thomas Woodard Sr (Bill). Her Children Gail Woodard, Angier, NC; Patricia Woodard, Angier, NC; Deborah Jones, New Bern, NC, Kathy Woodard, Alliance, NC; William Thomas Woodard Jr. and wife, Lisa J. Woodard; Her grandchildren Stephen Jones, Avondale, Penn; Courtney Keith and husband, Joey Keith, Angier, NC; Tina Brooks and husband Harry Brooks Alliance, NC; and Dakota Johnson, Raleigh NC; her Great Grandson Noah Jones, Oxford, Penn; and Granddaughter Holly Brooks, Alliance, NC; and her brother Stanley Denning, Raleigh, NC.; and many treasured nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents John and Vada Denning; and her brother James Denning.

She was honest, caring and faithful. She loved everyone with an open heart and open arms.  Her faith in God was solid as a rock and as wide as the ocean. She had a kind sweet spirit. She was an inspiration to all her knew and loved her.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to all who have cared for her and for each act of kindness given to her and her family.

Visitation will be Saturday, February 9, 2019 12:00 pm at the Garner Church of God located at 2208 Benson Road Garner, NC 27529. Funeral Service will be Saturday, February 9, 2019 at 1:00 pm at the Garner Church of God located at 2208 Benson Road, Garner NC 27529. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park located 2911 South Wilmington Street, Raleigh, NC 27603

In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to Garner Church of God or Transitions Life Care Hospice Center of Wake County.
