Obituary of Gloria Salter

Gloria Green Stern Salter, 84, of Fuquay-Varina, NC previously of Santa Monica, CA passed away Saturday at 4:20pm, September 1, 2012 at Hospice of Wake County.

The family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date.

Born June 1, 1928 in New York, NY, Gloria was the daughter of the late David Green and Anne Williams. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death her cherished second husband, Jack Salter; twin sister, Evelyn Green Marks; brothers, Theodore "Teddy" Green and Raymond Green; and first cousin, Theodore "Ted" Williams.

Gloria is survived by her first husband, Jerome "Jerry" Stern; son, Theodore Allen Stern; daughter and best friend, Elyse Robin Stern Perrone; grandsons, "The Love of Her Life", Skyler Lucas Perrone, Maxwell Ian Stern, and Gavin Stern; and nephew, Andrew Green Freid.

Gloria was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and companion. She could never say "no" to her daughter and grandson. She had blue eyes deeper than the sea and a heart not made of gold but pure platinum. No one could have done it better than Gloria who was a mother to everyone she knew. She will forever be missed but not forgotten. "Mommy, our lives were beshert"
