Mrs. Goldie Mae Blackmon Fish went home to Jesus on February 21, 2020 at the age of 82.

Goldie Mae was born in Johnston County to Otha and Myrtle Mae Blackmon on June 16, 1937. She served her community in so many ways, and was employed at Dorthea Dix Hospital where she served dutifully for over 40 years before retiring.

Mrs. Fish is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 64 years, Dural L Fish; her son Alex (Terri), granddaughter Brittany, Grandson TJ (Amber), great granddaughter Carrie and great grandson Easton.  And her brother, Wilson (Sharon) as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at the Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel. The Reverend Grace Hargis, a lifetime friend of Goldie and Dural, will officiate the service. The family will receive friends on Monday night from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Montlawn Funeral Home and Cremations.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations be made in Mrs. Fish's memory to First Advent Christian Church of Four Oaks: 202 E Sanders Street  Four Oaks, NC  27524.
