Obituary of Gordon Demey
Gordon David "Dave" Demey, 64, of Wake Forest, died Thursday morning, May 3, 2012 at his home.
A celebration of his life will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, May 6, 2012 at the North Wake Church in Wake Forest. A private burial at sea will be held at a later date.
A native of Staten Island, New York, Dave was born March 19, 1948, the son of Gordon Benner and Billie Kemp Hoppe. He was a telecommunications technician and proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Dave loved the water, boating and all things nautical.
Dave is survived by his daughters, Jennifer Enevoldsen and her husband, Jerry of Wake Forest; grandchildren, Jocelyn, Jordan and Joshua; Pam Brown and her children, Alexandra and Anthony Brown, Sandra Hendrickson and her daughter, Danielle Hill; sisters, Linda Johnson of Boca Raton, FL, Virginia "Ginny" Mack and her husband, Joe, of Myrtle Beach, SC as well as many friends and extended family.
Dave's family extends their heartfelt thanks to the Duke Medical and Hospice Teams, especially Leigh Howard, Carol and Kewenna.
