Obituary of Harold Robbins

Harold Lee Robbins, 83, died Monday, November 18, 2013 at his home with his family by his side. He was a native of High Point, NC and graduated from High Point High School.

He retired from 3M Corporation as a Senior Account Representative with 30 years of service. He had a passion for antiquing and loved clocks, music boxes and phonographs.

Harold is survived by his wife of 64 years, Ruth Miller Robbins; daughter, Karen Coward and husband Pete; daughter-in-law, Gayle Robbins; grandson, Paul Robbins; granddaughter, Heather Herron; step-grandchildren, Brian Daniels and wife Julie, Matthew Daniels and wife Mary; great-granddaughter, Dixie Herron; step-great-grandchildren, Mary Alex, Caroline and Kyle Daniels.

He was preceded in death by one son, Gary Harold Robbins.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Thursday at Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00-11:00 am Thursday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
