Obituary of Harry Curtis
Harry J. Curtis, 94, of Waltonwood Senior Living Center in Cary died Monday, March 19, 2012 at Cary Health and Rehab Center. He was born in Ithaca, NY on September 22, 1917. Harry was a longtime resident of Schenectady, NY and Palmetto, FL. He was a US Army veteran who served in WW II and was stationed overseas in both Japan and Germany. He retired from military service after more than 20 years.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Catherine L. Curtis of Cary; daughters. Jane C. Cook and husband Jon of Cary, Eleanor Wighton of Guilderland, NY and Debra Curtis of Amherst, NH; sons, Harry J. Curtis, III of Boise, ID and Calvin W. Curtis and wife Ann Munson of Valley Village, CA; seven grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, A. James Curtis.
Memorials may be made to Alzheimers of NC, 1305 Navaho Drive, Raleigh, NC 27609.
