GARNER

Haywood Hunt, 84, went into the loving arms of Jesus on Sunday, November 14, 2021, He retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad in October 1999. He was preceded in death by his father, Junnie Judson Hunt, and his mother, Annie Jones Hunt.

He was a loving husband, Daddy, Grandpa and friend. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Rachel Davis Hunt; his daughter, Angela Johnson and her husband, Randy; grandchildren, Hunter Johnson and Hannah Johnson; step-daughter, Cheryl Fox and her husband, Mike; step grandchildren, Matthew Fox (Stacey), Morgan (Tyler); two step great grandchildren, Lincoln and Charlie; brothers, Jim Hunt (Linda), Ron Hunt (Pam) and sister, Glenda Connor (Robert) and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Hunt's graveside funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at Montlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Montlawn Funeral Home and Cremations, 2911 South Wilmington Street, Raleigh, NC 27603.

In lieu of flowers, Mr. Hunt's family would like to invite you to adopt a needy child or family and make their Holiday brighter - and in turn ours and yours, too.
