Hazel Massengill Ryals passed away Wednesday, December 29th, 2021 after 94 rich years of life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Owen Ryals, son, Craig Ryals, and brother, Rufus Massengill. Hazel is survived by her daughter, Debbie Tanner (Ernie), daughter-in-law, Felice Ryals, and granddaughters Courtney Barbee (Shane Brace), Chelsea Whited (Ryan), Chloe Barbee, and Jennifer Hernandez (Lisandro). She was also treasured by her 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. A visitation will be held at Montlawn Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Monday, January 3rd, 2022 until noon, immediately followed by a memorial service. The family requests that all who attend please wear a mask.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting a donation to the ASPCA or a local animal shelter, to honor Hazel's love of animals.
