Obituary

Helen Cooper of Garner passed away peacefully while residing at Rex Rehab and Nursing Center of Apex.

Born in Pardee, Virginia, Helen lived the majority of her life in North Carolina where she served her Lord in various roles: pastor's wife, sister, mother, teacher, and friend. While supporting her husband (predeceased), she taught in various elementary schools in Watauga and Wake counties. Helen devoted her life to the Glory of God in various ministries even to the end of her life. She was a dedicated Bible study leader, a loving grandmother and great grandmother, and a master of biscuits and Southern home cooking.

She leaves behind her son Steve (Jeanette), daughter Judy (Bob), daughter Pam (Tim), 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, as well as her brother Wayne, 3 sisters-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews. Her family continues to carry on the work of their parents to be faithful servants of our Lord.

"...I believed, therefore, I have spoken. With that same spirit of faith, we also believe, therefore, we speak." (2Cor.4:13)

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Rex Rehab and Nursing Center of Apex for their care and love shown to Helen throughout her stay. A Celebration of Life and Resurrection will be held at Aversboro Road Baptist Church in Garner NC on Tuesday, July 9th at 1:00 PM.
