Herbert Sidney Rouse, age 96, died peacefully at his home in Angier, NC on August 8, 2019.

He was the son of the late Hallie and Nancy Rouse of Wallace, NC and is survived by his wife, Evelyn Sumner Rouse and three sons—Donald Wayne Rouse (Sue) of Raleigh, Robert Lloyd Rouse (Vangie) of Raleigh, and Richard Boyd Rouse (Sandra) of Angier.  He is survived by nine grandchildren: Kelcey Hartley (Justin), Karsen Ketrow, Michael Rouse (Kate); Brian Rouse (Kara), James Rouse (Betsy), Susan Taylor (Nick), Kyle Rouse (Heather), Jennifer Rouse, Lindsay Sugg (Matt), and fourteen great grandchildren.

A private service for the family will be at Montlawn Memorial Park on August 12, 2019.  The family request that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Athens Drive Baptist Church, 1601 Athens Drive, Raleigh, NC, 27606.
