RALEIGH

Herman Woodrow Adams Jr., 72, passed away on February 26, 2021. Adams was very devoted to his family and  everything  that he set his mind to. He worked with WinnDixie for 36 years.

Mr. Adams was preceded in death by his father, Herman W. Adams Sr.; his mother, Beulah S. Adams; brothers Marvin W. Adams and James W. Adams; and daughter Vanessa Allred.

Adams is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Joyce B. Adams; son Randal Allred, daughter Nancy Austin and husband Ronnie. As well as sisters Margie Fromer and Rose Adams.

Herman was lovingly known as uncle Junior to numerous nieces and nephews. He will always be Poppy to seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

A private graveside service will be held at 3:45pm on Monday, March 1, 2021 at Montlawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to SPCA of Wake County.
