Obituary of Ibrahim Melendez

Ibrahim A. Melendez, 57, of Raleigh, died Thursday, November 26, 2009 at Wake Medical Center.

Family will receive friends from 12:00pm until 1:00pm, Thursday, December 3, 2009 at Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held 2:00pm at St. Mary Mother of the Church Catholic Parrish, 1008 Vandora Springs Rd. Garner, NC 27529. A graveside service will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park.

Ibrahim was a native of Honduras. He loved his family deeply and always put his children first. He loved to play his guitar and sing as well as riding his bicycle. You'd most often find his car loaded with his bike on the back ready to take a ride when the moment arose. Most of all, Ibrahim loved to make people laugh. There wasn't a day that went by that he didn't make at least one person chuckle.

Ibrahim is survived by his daughters, Ada and husband Jose Ramos of Garner, Elda and husband Jose Ronquillo of NJ, Jennifer and Karol; son, Ibrahim all of Holly Springs; 7 grandchildren; his mother, Ada Melendez; sister, Judith; brothers, Gustavo, wife Eva all of Utah and Rigo Berto Montiel of Raleigh.
