WILLOW SPRING

Ivan Macklin "Mack" Rhodes, 52 of Willow Springs, NC, passed away peacefully on Friday August 7, 2020 at his home surrounded by loving family and friends after a brief battle with cancer.

Mack was born in Reading Pennsylvania on June 18th, 1968 to the late Iven Macklin Rhodes and Shirley Marie Pendergraft Rhodes.  He attended Garner Senior High School.  He married the love of his life, Annette Goodman, on September 2, 1989 in North Myrtle Beach, SC.

He worked for the City of Raleigh as a sanitation truck driver for 22 years.   He is preceded in death by his parents Iven and Shirley Rhodes, sister Shirley Annette Holloman Aman, Brothers Thomas Danny Holloman and Turner Wayne Holloman.

He is survived by his loving wife Annette Goodman Rhodes of 30 years, Sons Ivan Michael Rhodes and his significant other Alexandra Langdon of Clayton,  Samuel James Rhodes and his significant other Jessika Blanchard of the home.  Brothers in law Richard Spicer Aman Sr. of Clinton and Alan Goodman and wife Jessica of Concord .  Nieces Angelia Aman Pasternak of Dunn, Kellie Aman Norris of Bunn and Dani Goodman, Alyssa, Rachel, and Madison Geddings of Concord.  Nephew William Brian Norris of Kittrell.  Two great nephews Michael Eric Pasternak of Greenville, and Connor Brice Norris of Bunn, father and mother in law Carl and Brenda Goodman of Midland, as well as many loving family and friends.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Johnston UNC Health Care and 3HC Home Health & Hospice, Sidney Skinner and especially nurses Debbie Denlinger & Landon Miller.

Visitation will be held on Sunday August 9, 2020 from 4-6 p.m. at Montlawn Funeral Home, 2911 South Wilmington Street, Raleigh NC 27603.  Graveside service will be held on Monday August 10, 2020 at 10 a.m. at Montlawn Memorial Park.  Family will receive visitors in the home at other times.
