Jack Clifton Current, 89, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 14, 2017. Born July 18, 1928 he was the son of the late Luin and Cleo Current.

Jack served his country honorably in the US Navy and the US Air Force. He was employed as a machinist when he met and married the love of his life, Doris Thompson, 48 years ago. Together they started and operated Current Enterprises, Inc., working side by side for 41 years.

A graveside service will be held Monday, August 21, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. in Montlawn Memorial Park in Raleigh.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Doris, his four children, Sherry Thacker, Mark Current, Carol Owens, and Tracy Peters, several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.
