Obituary of Jacquelyn Barnes

Jacquelyn Turner Barnes, of Apex, passed away Wednesday evening, November 14, 2012 at Hospice of Wake County.

A Graveside Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at Maplewood Cemetery, 400 college St. NE, Wilson, NC 27893.

Born May 4, 1930 in Wilson, NC, Jackie was the daughter of the late Jack Collins Meeks and Elma Pridgen Meeks. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph R. Turner.

Jackie is survived by her daughter, Myra Turner Williams of Apex; grandchildren, Joe Beamon of Cary, Paul Joyner of Apex, Paige Owen and husband Joey of Dunn; and sister, Peggy Bailey.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made in memory of Jackie to the J&J's Homeless Pet Rescue, P.O. Box 1495, Washington, NC 27889 or the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
