GARNER

James (Jim) Edward Carter Jr. age 58, died on Friday, January 28, 2022. He was born on December 23, 1963 to Marie Granito and James Edward Carter Sr.

He is survived by his wife Dorinda Carter, daughters Kayla Lopez and Keri Lopez; twin sons Corbin and Hunter Wentz and sister Judy Ann Carter.

James was a native of Delaware. He attended college and began his career with Thysen Krupp Elevator in 1997. While employed with TKElevator, James worked in various offices doing many different jobs that landed him in the Raleigh, NC area as a Service Manager.

James was a very caring selfless human being. He was always willing to go the extra mile to get the job done, while keeping the atmosphere light with his jokes, stories and his infectious laugh was always present to brighten the day. He touched many lives and left a trail of great memories behind for us all to share.

He enjoyed working around the house, especially outside doing the lawn and feeding the birds and the deer. He loved spending quality family time, camping, fishing, DIY projects and traveling to explore new things.

He was an absolute lover of animals, having numerous pets over the years. His favorite companions were his dog Lucy and parrot Oscar.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday February 7, 2022 at Garner Church of Christ, 1364 Benson Road, Garner, NC.
