James William Fuller III [Jim] passed away Tuesday evening surrounded by his family. He was born in Raleigh to Mildred Ball Fuller and James William Fuller, Jr.

Jim retired from CP&L after 30 years of service. He graduated from Needham Broughton High School in 1961 and earned his master's degree from NC State in 1984.

Jim loved his family, fishing, tennis, golf, and traveling. His favorite sports teams were the Carolina Panthers and the NC State Wolfpack.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Gayle Upchurch Fuller, his daughter Lorie Ingram and husband Brian; his son Scott Fuller; and his grandchildren, Carson, Lauren, and Alex Ingram; Kylie and Olivia Fuller.

Visitation for Mr. Fuller has been canceled due to a family emergency and will be rescheduled at a later time.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and others at UNC Rex Hospital who provided him with great care and compassion while there.

A time of visitation with the family will be held Monday, September 19, 2022 from 2-3 pm at Montlawn Funeral and Cremation Services, 2911 S. Wilmington St. Raleigh, NC 27603. Interment will be held privately.
