Obituary of James Jones
James P. Jones, 67, of Cary, passed away Sunday morning, September 25, 2011 at his residence.
Born January 25, 1944 in Birmingham, AL, James was the son of the late Jim Jones and Elizabeth Smoot. In addition to his parents, James is preceded in death by his father-in-law, Harold Bush, whom he had a very close relationship with and a sister, Judith Jones.
James is survived by his devoted wife of 46 years, Diane Jones of Cary; as son, Chris Jones and wife Lori of Washington, DC; daughter, Jennifer Sizemore and husband Adrian of Apex; his loving sister, Kim Jones-Gonzalez of New York; brother Robert Jones of Santa Rosa, CA; grandchildren, Madison, MacKenzie, and Meredith of Washington, DC; newphews, Alex and Daniel Gonzalez of New York.
James was a wonderful, loving husband, father and grandfather. Being a member of the American Colonial Numismatics, and the Raleigh Coin Club, he was very connected in American Colonial History, and Genealogy. James will be greatly missed.
