RALEIGH

James Malone, 87, went to heaven on Friday December 4, 2020.  he was born in lee county, NC on March 9,1933 to the late Baxter Clay Malone and Bessie Poole.  He is preceded in death by his wife Patricia Malone, and grandson Sampson Fallin.

James, served the people of Raleigh until his retirement in 1998.  Upon retirement James found joy in hunting, fishing and yard work, but his greatest love and joy was his family.

He leaves to cherish his memory his daughters, Barbara Jones, Glenda Fallin, and Alesia Malone.  Grandchildren Charles Fallin, Connie Benson, Susan and her husband Glenn Raybon, Cheryl Fallin, and Robert Benson Jr.; Great grandchildren; Victoria Vaughn, Sampson Fallin, Patrick Fallin, Braxton Benson, and Samantha Raybon.

In accordance with CDC and public health guideline, the family invite you to attend a vehicle visitation from 1:00 – 2:00 pm on Tuesday,  December 8, 2020 at Montlawn Funeral Home and Cremations, 2911 South Wilmington Street, Raleigh, NC 27603. Guests are invited to proceed under the portico of our building and pay their respects t the family while remaining in their vehicles. Montlawn staff will guide you thru the process.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at 11:00 am with Dennis Moranha officiating at Oakwood Cemetery, 701 Oakwood Ave. Raleigh, NC 27601
