Bill served in the U.S. Army from 1963 through 1965 before embarking in entrepreneurship where he owned and operated the J.W. Sealey Company. Bill enjoyed going fishing with his brothers and grandsons in his free time. He also maintained his electrical license even after he had retired. Bill loved to work with his hands around the house building and fixing various items.

Bill is survived by his wife of 58 years, Pamela Moore Sealey, his daughter, Pamela Suzanne Sealey Hall and her husband, Hank, as well as his grandchildren: Brandon T. Shaffer and his fiancé, Rachel Levi, and Quade Hall. Bill is also survived by his siblings: Jerry Sealey and his wife, Shirley, and Carolyn Barnes and her husband, Richard.

A graveside service will be held at 10 am on Friday, August 5, 2022, at Montlawn Memorial Park in Raleigh.
