James "Jimmy" Carlin Umberger, Jr., 60 of Raleigh, passed away Friday, November 7, 2014 at Transitions LifeCare. Born September 12, 1954 in Wytheville, VA, he was the son of Marlene Williams Umberger and the late James Carlin Umberger, Sr.

Jimmy is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Betsy John Walton; son, Patrick Walton Umberger; daughter, Katie Umberger; grandchildren, Kelsea and Dillon; brother, Gary Umberger; sister, Kathy Lee; his uncle, Dick Williams, and many nieces and nephews.

Jimmy was a business partner in Rebarco, Inc. in Clayton, NC, and owned Horse Creek Farm with his wife. Being an avid outdoorsman, Jimmy loved deer hunting in eastern North Carolina and participating in beagle field trials.

The family will receive friends 6-8:30 p.m, Friday, November 14, 2014 at Montlawn Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 p.m, Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Holland's United Methodist Church, 9433 Ten-Ten Rd, Raleigh, NC 27603.
