Obituary of James Adams

James Willard Adams, 70 years old, passed away January 7, 2016 at Transitions Hospice of Wake County.

He was born May 28, 1945 in Johnston County, NC to the late Boyd Adams and Hattie Hargis. James is survived by his loving former spouse and best friend Jan Austin and his beloved cat "Callie."

Everyone that knew James Willard Adams - (aka WINE, aka PRECIOUS to an lite few) knew that he was a small man in stature but had a BIG heart. He will be remember and respected by the many lives he touched.This Mama's boy was true and loving to his Mother almost to a fault.

After his Mama passed his sister-n-law Connie Austin carried out the Sunday lunch tradition and even sent him home with a care package.

Jan Austin former wife and best friend will remember the good times, such as Topsail Beach family fishing trips and date night at Fayetteville Motor Speedway. Also many trips to the country to visit family and eat cousin Bill's famous Bar-b-Que

He enjoyed loving and caring for many animals over the years. He owned everything from a Rhodesian Ridgeback to injured squirrels. He will truly and sorely be missed by all

Family will receive friends and family at Montlawn Funeral Home, 2911 Wilmington St in Raleigh, NC Sunday, January 10, 2016 at 1 pm. A memorial service will follow in the Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel at 2 pm.
