Obituary of Jane Miller
Jane Cain Miller, 65, died unexpectedly early Friday morning at her home.
A Celebration of Her Life will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 25, 2011 in Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 - 2 p.m. Monday.
Born in New Hanover County, Jane spent her childhood in Wallace. She was born July 20, 1946, the daughter of the late Marshall and Mary Margaret Benton Cain. She retired from the Office of the State Comptroller after 30 years service and was awarded the State's highest civilian honor, The Order of the Long Leaf Pine, by Governor James B. Hunt, Jr.
Jane is survived by her husband, Doug Miller of Raleigh; son, Christopher Collins of Garner, step daughter, Traci Dusenbury and grandchildren, Haley and Conner, and her brother, Marshall Cain and his wife Sandy, all of Richmond.
