J anet Gupton Evans, 83, of Raleigh NC died November 22, 2018.  Janet was born and raised in Louisburg, NC.  Her first devotion was that of being a wife, homemaker, mother and grandmother. Janet retired from Wachovia bank after 10 years of service.  She was a faithful member of her church, Emmanuel PH Church for over 60 years.  She loved cooking, baking and spending time with family and friends.  Janet was mischievous and could bring a smile and word of encouragement to all that crossed her path.

Janet is survived by her daughter, Constance Hickman and husband David, grandsons, William Heath and Kendall Heath, granddaughter, Mya Hickman, great granddaughter, Emma Heath, granddaughter-in-law Elizabeth Heath, brother Joseph Gupton and many loving nieces and nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Janet is preceded in death by husband, Thomas Evans, son Greg Evans, parents Waylon and Maggie Gupton, brother GB Gupton and special companion, Roy Overton.
