Obituary of Janie Spence
Janie S. Spence, 61, died Saturday, August 14, 2010 at Wellington Rehabilitation and Healthcare after an extended illness.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 3 p.m. Thursday at Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Montlawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
A native of Wake County, Janie was born March 5, 1949 the daughter of the late James Gerald Spencer and Elsie Iola Hines Spencer. She was a claims secretary with Nationwide Insurance Company for 36 years.
Janie is survived by her husband, Bill Spence; daughter, Alicia Ward (Joey) of Bunn; son, Jason Tilley (Jamie) of Asheboro; step sons, Jason Spence (Becky) of Greensboro, Stephen Spence (Rachel) of Williamsburg, VA; her brother, Jim Spencer of Sandy Springs, GA and nine grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wake County, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607.
