Jarvis Claybon Stewart, 50, of Garner, NC Garner, NC transitioned from this life 4:45 a.m., Saturday morning, October 10, 2015 at Transitions LifeCare Hospice Home. Born July 16, 1965 in Chicago Heights, IL, he was the son of Joseph C. Stewart and the late Jensie Saulsberry Carter.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Tarvares Herron. Jarvis is survived by his loving wife of 5 years, Sandra Stewart; sons, Jarvis Herron, Jenzel Stewart; daughters, TaTiana La-che Duckworth, Jakwetta Herron, Jasmine (Vesco) Bradley;2 step-children, Shawki White, Shadae Battle; 7 grandchildren; brothers, Jonathan Carter, Rodney (Louise) Stewart; sister, LaTasha Stewart (Michael) Gallimore; uncle, Roosevelt Tolliver, Jr.; and a host of nieces and nephews. A special acknowledgement of Jarvis' very special friends, Francine Duckworth, Tuwana Walker, Excel Jones, Alan Springs, and Pastor Zakkee Hill.

A Celebration of Jarvis' Life will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel. Repass will follow at Praise Temple Apostolic Faith Church, Inc., 1426 Wake Forest road, Raleigh NC 27604.
