Carolyn Holland King, 85, passed away Monday, February 22, 2016. Carolyn was born in Wake County, NC on January 24, 1931 to the late Alberta and Raeford Holland. She attended Cary High School and Meredith College and was a teacher for many years in the Cary schools. She was devoted to her church, her husband, her children and her grandchildren.
Surviving are her husband, George E. King; her sons, Alan D. King, George E. King, Jr. and wife Nicolette; grandchildren, Elizabeth King, Micah King and Avery King; sisters, Nancy Strother and husband Laverne of Knightdale and Bonnie Atkins of Raleigh; brother, Wendell Holland and wife Vel of Asheboro; sisters-in-law, Betty Peraldo of Greensboro and Margaret Holland of Cary; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Harry Holland and her grandson, David James King.
A private graveside service will be held at Montlawn Memorial Park.
