Jeanne D Simpson, age 76, of Raleigh died Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Magnolia Glen, Raleigh, NC.

Mrs. Simpson was born 1945 in Poughkeepsie, NY, the  daughter of Edward W and Helen V (Elliott) Prichard who both predeceased her. In September 1966 she married Robert Simpson at St. Joseph's Church, New Paltz, NY. Mr. Simpson predeceased her in July of this year.

Following her 1963 graduation from F.D. Roosevelt High School, Hyde Park NY, Jeanne was employed by IBM at the Poughkeepsie facility. She retired from Glaxo in RTP, NC as a Librarian.

Loving mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, Jeanne loved travelling domestically and abroad. While at home, she enjoyed crafts and quilting.  She enjoyed hosting her family for holiday meals.

Jeanne is survived by sons, Bryan J. Simpson and Eric W. Simpson, both of Cary NC; brothers, Edward Prichard of Tucson AZ and William Prichard of Camas WA; granddaughters, Courtney Simpson and Monica Simpson, both of Apex NC; grandsons, Nathan Simpson and Drew Simpson of Cary NC; several nieces and nephews.

She was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Raleigh.  Funeral services will be 2 PM, Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Montlawn Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 2911 S Wilmington St, Raleigh, NC 27603, where a service of Christian Burial will be celebrated.
