Obituary

Jeanne Williams was born June 2, 1964, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Arthur and Jerelane Salisbury. She gained her wings on October 29, 2026. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Johnny Williams Sr., and three brothers: John Salisbury, Ralph Salisbury Sr, and Arthur Salisbury.

Jeanne was a devoted mother, loving sister, and cherished friend. A woman of unwavering faith and a heart of gold, she touched the lives of everyone she encountered. She was the matriarch and foundation of her family, always showing up for those she loved and never hesitating to answer a call when she was needed. Family was her greatest joy, and she took pride in keeping traditions alive, especially gathering her children around the Christmas tree each year. She loved laughter, movies, family cookouts, reunions, traveling, and playing Pokémon GO. Above all, she treasured every moment spent with her children.

Jeanne retired from JCPenney in 2021. Throughout a long and difficult illness, she demonstrated incredible strength, courage, and resilience, remaining a true warrior until the very end.

Jeanne is survived by her four children: Jennifer Williams of Raleigh, NC, Justin Williams (Emily) of Raleigh, NC, Joannie Williams (James) of Cary, NC, and Johnny Williams II (Cindy) of Clayton, NC, whom she lovingly raised as her own. She also leaves behind her sister, Carrie Walton (Tommy), along with grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
