Jenny Braswell Forrest, 73, went to heaven, on June 28, 2021.  She was born in Nash County to the late Thomas Jefferson Braswell and Dorothy Magnolia Beard.  She was preceded in death by her husband Michael Forrest, in-laws, Linwood and Catherine Forrest and her brother Jeff Braswell.

Jenny worked as an administrative assistant for the director of NIEHS several years until taking care of her children full time after her husband died.  After her children went to college, she began working at Colonial Baptist Church and became the Food Services Director and Cooridinator of Food ministry for over 15 years.  She loved serving people and Jesus through cooking and baking.  She was a Faithful servant of the Lord.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her oldest daughter Katherine Forrest Williams (married to Jason Williams for 17 years) and their three children Eli, Eva and Benjamin Williams, her youngest daughter Victoria Forrest Schoenleber (married to Anthony Schoenleber for 15 years) and their three children Carter, Bishop and Mavrick Schoenleber. Along with her two brothers Doug Braswell and family, and Lee Braswell and family.  She went to be with Jesus with her family and loved ones by her side.

The family will receive friends Friday, July 2, from 1-2:00 pm at the The Shepherd's Church, 6051 Tryon Rd, Cary, NC 27518.  A Funeral service will follow the visitation at 2:00 PM with Minister Brad Harbaugh officiating.  Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park, 2911 S. Wilmington St. Raleigh, NC 27603.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wisdom of the Heart Ministries.
