Jenny Talton, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 6, 2021.   Jenny, affectionately known as "Gi-Gi", had a large community of people she loved who also loved her.  She never met a stranger.  Jenny loved life and everyone was touched by her vivacious and outgoing personality.

Jenny was raised in Abingdon, Virginia and later was proud to call Raleigh, N.C. her home.  She moved from Abingdon, VA to Washington, D.C. where she worked for the FBI.  There she met Raymond Talton, who became her husband and the love of her life for 49 years.

Together they moved to Raleigh to start their grand adventure.  Jenny was employed at NC Equipment Company for many years, and was Vice President of Talton's Safe Company of Raleigh.  Her priorities changed from work to family as she became the best mother and grandmother she could be.

Jenny's life revolved around her family, especially her two sons, Justin and Joshua. They were the pride and joy of her life.  Friends, teachers and anyone involved in Justin and Josh's life were loved by Jenny.  Gi-Gi's guests were treated as family, and never left hungry because Krispy Kreme Doughnuts and Maureen's cookies were always available.

Jenny's zest for life was unmatched as well as her devotion to family and friends.

Jenny was preceded in death by her father Gene and mother Joy Crookshank.

She is survived by her husband Raymond Talton of Raleigh, son Justin Talton and wife Dawn of Boone N.C. and their children Cody and Abby, son Joshua Talton and wife Patricia of Raleigh, N.C. and their children Savannah, Addison and Carolina. She is also survived by three brothers Gary Crookshank and Shawn Crookshank of Abingdon VA. and Michael Crookshank of Williamsburg VA.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm on  Monday, May 10 2021 at Montlawn Funeral Home and Cremations, 2911 S. Wilmington St, Raleigh NC 27603. A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday May 11, 2021 at Fairmont United Methodist Church, 2501 Clark Ave. Raleigh NC 27607. Interment will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park, 2911 South Wilmington Street, Raleigh, NC 27611.
