Jerome Adam Dawson, 52, of Raleigh, born on April 25, 1973 to the late Sarah Dawson, passed away on December 13, 2025.

A US Navy veteran, Jerome was a man of quiet strength who treasured the simple things in life. He held a deep love for his mother and enjoyed spending time swimming, watching movies, and engaging in his favorite pastime—gaming, especially strategy games. His passion for video games not only brought him joy but also introduced him to many friends across the country.

Jerome was a true homebody, finding comfort in the familiar and the close connections he shared with family and friends. He is proceeded in death by his mother, Sarah Dawson, a Uncle, Ernest (Butch) Dawson and a Aunt, Belinda Lawing. He is lovingly remembered by his cousins Jennifer Mires-McCartney and husband Eric of Fuquay-Varina, NC; Heather Scott and husband Beau of Apopka, FL; Dakota, Hunter, and Ashley Mires of Fuquay-Varina, NC; and Charles "Deak" Diedrich of Garner, NC.

His gentle spirit, simple nature, and loyalty will be missed by all who knew him. Jerome's legacy lives on through the memories and friendships he deeply valued.
