Obituary of Jerry Schwarzer
Jerry Schwarzer, 63, most recently of Raleigh, North Carolina, passed away on May 21, 2013 at his home, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Maureen Schwarzer of Raleigh, his daughter Amy Schwarzer and her wife Windy Wood of Gainesville, Florida, his daughter Sarah Schwarzer of Raleigh, and his 3 siblings: Wendy Polak of Rhode Island, David Schwarzer of Kansas, and Lisa Krell of Massachusetts.
Jerry was raised in Cheshire, Massachusetts, the oldest of his siblings. He worked as a draftsman with General Electric for 20 years and spent the last 16 helping customers at Home Depot in Sarasota, Florida, and Raleigh. He was a loving brother, husband, and father whose caring nature touched so many others. His heart was so big he needed two to help him share all that love: he was the recipient of a donor heart in 2003, and was always aware of the sacrifice that was part of that wonderful gift. We would like to again thank the donor and his family, as we have every day for the last 10 years. Jerry's family and friends are all so thankful of the time they've had with him, even though it had to end too soon.
