Obituary of Jill Allen
Jill Allen, 88, passed away Thursday morning, November 22, 2012 at her retirement home in Durham, NC.
Jill, a fiercely independent and proud English woman was born and raised in London, England. She was an avid traveler, and before taking up residence in America, she lived in the West Indies, and the Bahamas. She saw much of the world and visited over 30 countries. She had a various number of interesting careers, the last of which was a legal secretary; and in retirement, became a keen handcrafter and Scrabble player.
Per her wishes Jill will be cremated and entombed at Montlawn Memorial Park in Raleigh, NC 12 Noon, Saturday, December 1, 2012.
She is survived by her son Philip Slark and wife Larisa of Raleigh; granddaughters, Pippa Slark of Houghton-Le-Spring, England and Jennifer Ullman of Helena, Montana.
