Obituary of Jimmie Hood

Jimmie Ravina Hood, 73, died Monday evening at the William Dunlap Hospice Center.

Funeral Service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday at Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Montlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 -8 p.m. Wednesday.

A native of Blythewood, SC, Jimmie was born May 29, 1940, the son of the late Wylie and Mildred Nelson Hood. He was a retired mechanic with Waste Industries and a member of Haven FWB Church.

Jimmie is survived by his children; Denise Moore, Jack Nelms, Lynda Parker, Brenda Tollefson, Terry Quintero, Charles Chester, Tim Chester and Jim Chester; brothers, Donnie, Stanley and Faron Hood, 17 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.

Jimmie was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Hood and three brothers, Glenn, Barry and Ricky Hood.
