Obituary of Joan Vann

Joan Alice Vann, 69 passed away Friday, October 2, 2015 after a short battle with cancer.

She was a wonderful wife and co-owner of L.L. Vann electric with her husband Leland until her retirement in 2012 which enabled them to enjoy more time at their Atlantic Beach home.

Joan's compassion for people was demonstrated by her need to help others.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Dale and her brother Jim.

Surviving are her husband, Leland; son John; brother Steve; sisters, June and Betty; sister-in-law, Glenda Hoffmen; grandchildren, Alex, Samantha and Zachary; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 1 pm Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Montlawn Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 - 1:00 pm Thursday, prior to the service.
