John Banks, 89 of Garner, passed away September 1, 2019. John was born in Blair County Pennsylvania and retired from West Vaco in Williamsburg, Pennsylvania.  John was a member of the Fuquay-Varina United Methodist Church

John is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Helen M. Banks. John is also survived by his daughters Ronda Currin, Sandra Weyant; grandchildren, Casey Bauer, John Weyant and Sabrina Carroll; great-grandchildren, Matthew and Christine Bauer, Ruby and Weston Weyant and Addelynn Taylor; and sister Donna Thomas.

John was preceded in death by his previous wife Betty Fornwalt Banks, son John Harry Banks Jr.; parents Ellen Wicker Banks and Jesse Banks; brother, Jesse Banks and 3 sisters Elizabeth Detwiler, Emma Clabaugh and Faye Wagner.

A graveside memorial service will be held at Royer Cemetery in Williamsburg, Pennsylvania on October 10, 2019 at 1:00 pm.
