John W. Bryan, 92, of Raleigh passed away October 31, 2018 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. He graduated from Needham Broughton High School. John served his country in the US Navy after which most of his adult life working in the automotive industry and construction. John loved golfing, beach music and was a die hard NASCAR Fan.

John is survived by his wife, his love, soul mate, companion and best friend Patricia Warren Bryan. Son: John "Sandy" Bryan and wife Phyllis of Roxboro; Grandchildren: Troy Bryan and his wife Tara, Todd Bryan and his wife Heather; Great grandchildren: Skyler, Corbin and Jonathan Bryan; Nephews: Kevin Bryan and Tim Bryan of Raleigh; Nieces: Leslie Yarbrough and Kim Bryan; Sister-in-Law: Connie Bryan and Patricia Bass Bryan of Raleigh.  He is also survived by his loving caring extended family Sister-in-laws: Alice Warren Lee of Benson, Nell W. Johnson of Newton Grove, Rhonda W. Raynor and husband Carlie of Newton Grove and Brother-in-Law: Bruce A. Warren and wife Ann of Newton Grove.

Preceded in death by his mother and father Raleigh Bryan and Pauline Barbour Bryan and Brother, Wesley Bryan all of Raleigh.

The family will receive friends Friday, November 2 ^nd at Montlawn Funeral Home, 2911 South Wilmington Street, Raleigh from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.

A graveside service will be held to honor John's life on Saturday November 3 ^rd at 1:00 PM at Shady Grove FWB Church, 7605 Newton Grove Hwy, Dunn, NC 28334

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Shady Grove Cemetery Fund or a favorite charity of your choice.

The family wishes to express their appreciation to the Transitions Hospice Team who cared for John during his illness especially Julenia, Sheryl & Katherine.
