John Lassiter Horne 81 of Clayton passed away Tuesday September 19, 2017. He was born July 16, 1936 in Wake County son of Ovie John and Ilamae Horne.
John served in the Army he worked and retired from Capital Towers in Raleigh. John also enjoyed gardening and being with family and friends.
John is survived by his wife of 58 years, Frances Wheeler Horne. Surviving Sons Greg (Connie) Horne of Angier, Gary (Crystal) Horne of Pittsboro and grandchildren Rhyne Horne (Lindsay), Brit Horne (Beau), Jarrett Horne, Tryon Horne, Rhyleigh Horne, great grand children Kallen Horne, Maddox Horne, Also surviving sisters Carolyn Chesson (Stan) of Garner, sister Doris Haralson of Augusta Georgia, sister-in-law Linda Hayes (Gerald) and family of Dunn, N.C. Extended family Derrick Jones (Katie), Travis Jones (Meg), Kyle Jones (Meghan), Emily and Caroline Jones.
In addition to his parents John is preceded by his son Glenn Person Horne, two brothers and a sister.
