Obituary of John Reasons

Jackie died on November 7, 2013 at his home in Cary. He was born on July 27, 1949 in Raleigh to John W. and Margaret Hayes Reasons. After graduating from Needham Broughton High School in Raleigh, he attended Campbell University and received a bachelor's degree in business administration. He was employed by the NC Division of Disability Determination for 25 years. During his career, he served in several management positions. He retired from State Government in 1998. Jackie loved beach music, shagging, and the UNC Tar Heels. He was predeceased by his father John in 2011. He is survived by his mother Margaret, his sister Judy and her husband Norwood Clark of Garner. Survivors also include his daughter Michelle Carroll, her husband Brian and two grandsons, Jacob and Joshua of Clayton. Also leaving to cherish his memory is a niece Rhonda McNairy, her husband Walter and a great niece Grimsley of Raleigh. Sincere thanks to his special friends at Jordan Oaks in Cary. Their friendship and support of Jackie will be remembered and treasured. He loved every day that he spent with his extended family.

Visitation will be held from 2-3 p.m., Sunday, November 10, 2013 at Montlawn Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be held at Myrtle Beach at a later date.
