Mr. Remling was born in Scotch Plains, NJ, son of Emma and Julius Remling, deceased.

John graduated from Franklin and Marshall College in 1959 with a degree in History. He joined the navy and was stationed on President Kennedy's flagship, the Northampton. After moving to North Carolina he established himself as a top producer with Equitable Life Insurance. He remained with Equitable for his entire professional career.

John was predeceased by his daughter, Bryntly Remling, his sister Dianne Memminger and his wife Jane Cook. He is survived by his daughter Sudie Wagner and grandchildren David and Emily Wagner.

A private service will be held to honor Mr. Remling's life.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to consider making a donation to the North Carolina Chapter of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or the charity of your choice. When he was active, John attended Trinity Baptist Church.
